Long Description

About the team:

 Active participation in major problem-solving projects and teams. Training of ZF staff on advanced problem-solving tools and techniques. Creates and improves data management systems to minimize risk and identifies potential projects and problem areas. Active support on the creation and preparation of training material and other documents. Proactive assistance on potential critical projects or customer complaints.

What can you look forward as a Engineer II - Plant Quality:

  • Supports and complies with established Company's Corporate Principles and goals.
  • Understand and comply with Quality requirements such as automotive requirements
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability, and ability to comply with customer specifications and company's specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence.
  • Interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&T).
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing personnel in the proper application of quality systems and tools.
  • Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process.
  • Perform activities in coordination with other departments, effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner. Developing and maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Initiate, complete, and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards.
  • Trigger additional escalation levels as needed to protect internal and external customer.
  • Have an auditor perspective including being part of the solution.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Active work in problem solving in cooperation all Quality Engineers
  • Working on top projects, project details and finalization of projects in cooperation with a defined team.
  • Support and creation of Training for basic and advanced Problem-Solving methodologies/, develop and motivate employees, creation and maintaining training material for PS methodologies. Guidance to manufacturing personnel in the proper application of problem-solving methodology.
  • Creation and development of methodologies and templates for problem solving based on each specific customer request and requirement.

Your profile as an Engineer II - Plant Quality:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3-4 years of experience (internship/co-op included)
  • Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proven creativity and analytical methods with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent English language competency - both verbal and written.
