At Eye Specialist of Napa Valley, we have an immediate opening for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing dynamic team! Ideally, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a technician in a thriving ophthalmology practice and willing to also scribe. Ophthalmic certification is a big plus but not required!

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Be efficient and accurate at interviewing patients and documenting histories.
- Be able to ensure charts are updated and accurate.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications.
- Have previous experience with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting.
- Be proficient with EMR computer programs.
- Able to check patients' vision and identify chief complaints.
- IOP
- Know about Various diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visuals)
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as an Ophthalmology Technician
- Ophthalmology scribing experience a BIG plus!
- Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
- Have strong hospitality skills and patient care focus
- Have good communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Be able to work well with others as a team
- Be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Have a high school diploma or GED
