Position Summary
The HR Intern supports the North America HR team on defined, project-based assignments in people analytics, HR documentation, and talent programs. This is a structured learning role designed to give the intern exposure to HR practices in a global medical technology organization. The intern works under direct supervision on discrete deliverables with a defined start and end date, and does not carry ongoing operational ownership of any HR process.
Key Responsibilities People Analytics & Reporting (approx. 40%)
  • Compile and clean headcount, turnover, and recruiting-funnel data from source systems into working files for review by the HR team
  • Build and refresh recurring charts and summary tables used in HR reporting to management
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests, such as departure-reason coding and hiring-pipeline trend summaries

HR Documentation & Infrastructure (approx. 25%)
  • Draft and format process documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures under the direction of the HR Business Partner
  • Support the build-out and organization of the job architecture library, including job title inventories and job profile templates
  • Assist with version control and organization of HR reference materials on shared drives

Talent Programs Support (approx. 20%)
  • Conduct labor-market and university-pipeline research to support sourcing strategy
  • Prepare interview scheduling logistics and coordinate calendars at the direction of the Talent Specialist
  • Assist in preparing candidate-facing materials such as position summaries and interview guides

Employee Programs & Engagement (approx. 15%)
  • Support planning and logistics for employee engagement activities, internal communications, and learning events
  • Assist with the preparation of survey instruments and the tabulation of aggregate survey results

Scope Limitations
This position is project-based and does not include employee relations casework, benefits or leave administration, payroll processing, personnel file or I-9 maintenance, HRIS transaction processing, or access to individually identifiable compensation, medical, or investigation records. The intern does not represent the company in any employment matter and holds no signature authority.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Analytics, or a related field, with at least sophomore standing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and common lookup and text functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship

Preferred
  • Prior internship or coursework involving data analysis, survey design, or process documentation
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Power BI or a comparable visualization tool
  • Interest in the medical device or healthcare technology industry
  • Conversational Mandarin

Salary Description
