Physician (Psychiatry)

Serve as a physician in a medical treatment facility providing examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health diseases. Provide ambulatory outpatient treatment and consultative services. Monitor treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine. Provide therapeutic treatment services. Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs. Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff. Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment. Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients. Train psychiatric residents, interns, medical students, and other medical and mental health trainees, as needed.
