The Medical Records Specialist investigates and corrects deficiencies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of medical record files and documentation. This role supports the healthcare team by reviewing and improving the content and accuracy of the medical record to accurately reflect the quality of care delivered and to support appropriate coding, billing, and reporting, as reconciled with the Electronic Health Record.
Hours are 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week on-site. Remote or hybrid unavailable at this time.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 guidelines
  • Medical billing or medical record experience
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills with experience with an electronic medical record system
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Experience in a medical related occupation preferred
  • RHIT preferred
