Working closely with Marketing, Communications, Creative, Corporate Partnerships, and Soccer Operations, the Social Media Coordinator will help execute the Club's social media strategy while producing compelling real-time content from matches, training sessions, community events, and other Club initiatives. This position plays a key role in growing the Club's digital audience, strengthening brand affinity, and delivering measurable value to fans and commercial partners.
This position is primarily based at the Larry H. Miller Tower and requires regular attendance at matches, training sessions, community events, and other Club functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Execute the Club's social media strategy across all digital platforms, creating engaging content that grows audience, fan engagement, and brand awareness.

  • Plan, manage, and maintain the Club's social content calendar while balancing scheduled campaigns with real-time opportunities.

  • Capture, edit, and publish photo, video, and written content from matches, training sessions, community events, and Club initiatives, with an emphasis on platform-native short-form video.

  • Provide comprehensive live matchday coverage, telling compelling stories before, during, and after each match.

  • Monitor social media trends, fan conversations, and platform updates to identify opportunities for timely, creative, and engaging content.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Creative, Soccer Operations, and Corporate Partnerships to execute integrated campaigns and fulfill sponsored digital assets.

  • Build and engage the Club's online community by monitoring social channels, interacting with supporters, and maintaining the Club's voice and brand standards.

  • Analyze social media performance and audience insights to optimize content strategy, measure campaign success, and recommend continuous improvements.

  • Train, mentor, and oversee social media interns while ensuring high-quality execution of day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Support additional digital marketing, content creation, and Club initiatives as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of professional social media experience (internships and freelance experience considered).

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, platform-native content across multiple social media channels.

  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, audience engagement, and platform best practices.

  • Experience producing mobile-first short-form video content.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

  • Experience using CapCut or similar mobile editing applications.

  • Strong writing and copyediting skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience interpreting social media analytics and using performance data to improve content strategy.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, live-event environment.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required throughout the MLS season.

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, MLS NEXT, and the North American soccer landscape.

  • Experience using Sprout Social, Emplifi, Later, Hootsuite, or similar social media management platforms.

  • Experience using Adobe Lightroom and After Effects.

  • Familiarity with sports photography and mobile content production.
