Youth Services Social Worker / Case Management Supervisor
Boxwood Learning Center
Position Summary
Boxwood Learning Center is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven, and technology-savvy Youth Services Social Worker / Case Management Supervisor to oversee case management services for youth and young adults participating in Boxwood's youth development, restorative justice, violence intervention, workforce development, and community-based programs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a social work professional who wants to make a meaningful difference in the local community by supporting youth who may be facing barriers related to education, family circumstances, justice involvement, housing instability, mental health, trauma, or other life challenges.

Essential Responsibilities
Case Management Oversight
  • Oversee case management services for youth enrolled in Boxwood programs.
  • Assign and delegate cases to case managers, mentors, facilitators, interns, AmeriCorps members, or other designated staff.
  • Monitor staff follow-up on assigned youth cases.
  • Review case notes, attendance records, service plans, referrals, and youth progress updates.
  • Ensure youth files are complete, organized, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Support staff in identifying youth needs, barriers, risks, and appropriate interventions.
  • Ensure case management services are aligned with program goals, funder expectations, and organizational standards.

Intake and Psychosocial Assessment
  • Conduct youth and family intakes as needed.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments for youth and young adults participating in Boxwood programs.
  • Assess needs related to education, family support, housing, employment, mental health, substance use, safety, peer relationships, justice involvement, and community support.
  • Develop or support individualized service plans based on assessment findings.
  • Identify appropriate internal and external referrals.
  • Maintain confidential and professional documentation in accordance with organizational policy.

Staff Support and Delegation
  • Provide guidance to staff responsible for youth follow-up and case management.
  • Delegate cases and tasks based on staff roles, capacity, and program needs.
  • Support weekly or biweekly case review meetings.
  • Monitor whether staff are completing assigned case management responsibilities.
  • Promote a trauma-informed, youth-centered, restorative, and accountable team culture.

Technology, AI, and Systems Improvement
  • Must be comfortable using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, organization, documentation, communication, and program tracking.
  • Use AI-supported tools, spreadsheets, databases, forms, calendars, and task management systems to automate routine tasks when appropriate.

Flexible Schedule and Community Events
  • Work a flexible schedule based on program needs.
  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, community events, school-based activities, family meetings, and urgent program needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, criminal justice, education, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with youth, young adults, families, schools, community programs, justice-involved youth, or vulnerable populations.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, restorative practices, youth development, family engagement, and community-based services.
  • Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, follow up, and hold staff accountable in a supportive and professional manner.

Additional Duties
The Youth Services Social Worker / Case Management Supervisor may support additional organizational initiatives, youth services projects, staff training, community events, compliance activities, and special assignments as directed by organizational leadership.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
