Position: Math Teacher -ย with emphasis on Algebra, Geometry andย ย Pre-Calculus
Location:ย  Lamphere High School
Date Available: 2026-2027 SY
Pay Rate:ย At the appropriate step on the pay scale
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join the Lamphere Family. In this educational setting with a diverse student population, the successful candidate will inspire and educate students in a positive and engaging learning environment while developing and delivering a curriculum aligned with state and national standards. This role fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through active collaboration with colleagues and ongoing professional development.ย 
Minimum Qualifications:ย 






  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Math (EX) endorsement for grades 6-12
  • Additional certification in any of the following areas- English (BA), Science (DX) or Social Studies (RX), preferred
  • Training in CPM Math Teaching preferred
  • Ability to interact positively with, and motivate, students
  • Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes
  • Willingness to accept responsibility for student learning and progress
  • Ability to withstand the strain of teaching
  • Must be reliable and punctual with excellent work-related attendance record
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptableย 

This position is classified as Exempt
Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189.
Ability to withstand the strains and successfully manage the responsibilities of the position.
Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. Regular and dependable presence during school hours is essential.
