Job Description

We are currently seeking Production Workers to become part of the Ulbrich Precision Alloys team located in New Bedford, MA. Ulbrich Precision Alloys is a global producer of high-performance materials and solutions for a variety of markets. We partner with our customers to deliver extraordinary materials that enable our customers to reach new heights with their demanding applications.

Successful Production Workers ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently and are able to identify opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality.  

As a Production Worker you must be willing to maintain a solid attendance record, and must be able to work off shifts (as needed to cover for other's vacations, etc.) and overtime in our heavy industrial environment.  However, we do not have rotating shifts.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate both small and large mobile equipment
  • Operate cranes using a remote radio control box or in an overhead cab
  • Work with a team in the various facilities to produce world class coil products. Some tasks require routine interaction with computer interfaces.
  • Assist and support routine maintenance activities
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Vo-Tech Certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical or other related curriculum
  • 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry with transferrable skills.
  • Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension. Ability to read instructions, do basic math and perform simple measurements is critical.
  • Reading, math & problem-solving skills with electrical or mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability and willingness to operate and/or maintain a variety of operating units,
  • Ability to maintain a solid attendance record.
  • Ability to work off shifts (covering other's shifts when out or on vacation) as needed to support the business
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely in an industrial environment as a team member.
