Job description

Job Title: CBAR Foreman
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: CBAR
Reports to: Superintendent
Position Summary:
Monitors activity on the production floor, including strict adherence to safety standards, verifying standard work procedures, quality standards, and facilitating training among employees. Oversee the production schedule and reports to supervision the status of changeovers, equipment availability, and personnel issues.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
  • Manage Machining associates.
  • Ensure all team members have proper PPE in good condition
  • Communicate schedule requirements and production targets
  • Prioritize jobs/tasks based on requirements from Supervisor
  • Observe Machining changeover tasks for accuracy and correctness
  • Promote safe work procedures in accordance with KAAP safety rules and regulations
  • Ensure quality checks are being performed on time and correctly
  • Enter data in QAD
  • Inventory control
  • Promote and implement assigned 5S activities throughout the Machining department
  • Monitor cycle times
  • Communicate any issues to Supervisor
  • Performs other duties as required

Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic English
  • Ability to follow instructions

Education & Experience:

  • 3 plus years leadership experience in automotive environment
  • Previous experience with CNC machinery or similar environment
  • Crane and forklift experience preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification. Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.
