Description

Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics.


Hadco's branches are located strategically throughout the East, Midwest and West, allowing nationwide presence and coverage.


Position Summary:

Responsible for managing and tracking inventory of all materials ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, update inventory records, and maintain stock levels.


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am-6:00 pm


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Review sales orders and verify accuracy to match pick tickets.
  • Prepare packing slips and expedite orders to meet promised delivery dates.
  • Review shipping notices, invoices, orders, and material records to determine shipping priorities.
  • Compile data to track orders including      amount due, date of shipment, and delivery dates.
  • Compare and maintain accurate physical inventory to company ERP system and office records and adjust balances.
  • Determine space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks and lay out      position of shipment.
  • Manage and reconcile physical inventory/cycle counting. program.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through awareness of industry trends and best practices. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory management positions.
  • Strong ability to read and write English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced math skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel
  • Possess strong problem solving, decision making, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
