Job Description:

Start your career with a recognized leader in geoscience technology and solutions!As a member of Viridien's Subsurface Imaging team, you will receive comprehensive training to apply knowledge of seismic data acquisition, wavelet processing, and velocity modeling to generate precise 3D images of the Earth's subsurface. This role empowers you to help our clients extract maximum value from their data and make well-informed assessments to minimize environmental impact and exploration risk. You will learn to experiment with various mathematical and geophysical concepts while leveraging state-of-the-art geoscience technology and high-performance computing applications to ensure a high-quality product.

You will be part of a diverse and supportive team, working collaboratively with other Seismic Imagers to solve some of the world's most complex subsurface challenges. As a key contributor, your responsibilities will include managing daily operations, performing data analysis, ensuring optimal quality control, conducting research-driven problem-solving, and optimizing workflows. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Research and Software Development teams to develop innovative techniques and tools and contribute to publications on emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's in Geophysics, Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or other related technical or engineering discipline

  • Excellent physical intuition

  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills

  • Experience with a UNIX environment preferred
