Job SummarySpecial Education Adjunct Faculty assist with the instructional delivery of courses taken by both program majors and non-majors. Special Education adjunct faculty teach up to 6 hours [2 - 3hour courses] per semester. Typical courses focus on Introduction to Disabilities and/or Special Education, Assessment, Intervention, classroom management, math.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruction in traditional and online formats.
- Assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsA doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Special Education is required for teaching graduate level courses.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with all groups of individuals in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with a diverse team in diverse settings.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Experience setting clear performance expectations and provision of meaningful feedback.
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated success in university teaching.
