Job Title: Applications Engineer

Calling all new grads preferably with internship experience!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Applications Engineer to conduct hardware and software product demonstrations, showcasing technical features and processes to prospective and existing customers. The role involves effectively communicating product benefits for complex applications, assisting the regional sales team with product recommendations, and preparing operating instructions to meet customers' needs. You will maintain positive customer relationships, prepare detailed technical specifications for quotations, and develop programs or applications to meet customer specifications and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic hardware and software product demonstrations.
  • Communicate product benefits for complex applications.
  • Assist regional sales team in product recommendations.
  • Prepare operating instructions and conduct training programs.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through effective interaction.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications for quotations.
  • Develop programs or applications that meet customer specifications.
  • Consult with customers to incorporate needs and feedback into designs.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Ensure programs or applications work properly after maintenance and testing.
  • Analyze and edit existing programs to optimize performance.
  • Resolve challenging issues from problem statement through to follow-up.
  • Keep up with advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and marketing groups on product development projects.
  • Learn from experienced Applications Engineers.
  • Remain current with skills through training classes, research, and seminars.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work under close direction and in a team environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an office setting with clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated conditions. Applications Engineers will spend considerable time in a modern demo/training room displaying technology for customer visits. Occasionally, visits to the factory floor may be required, where noise levels are moderate. If necessary, PPE will be provided. The office noise levels are low to moderate, providing a conducive working atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of North Kingstown, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $37.00/hr.
