Job description

DuBois Integrity Academy is hiring Math 180 Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic school year. DuBois Integrity STEM Academy's academic program has two pillars that support substantial achievement improvement:  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) combined with Blended Learning.  We use theme-based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning. A combination of tightly-controlled behavioral studies and groundbreaking neurological research supports theme-based education as a means to improve the opportunities for success for all learners.

 This position is responsible for the success in Math 180 that goes far beyond test scores. When students witness the results of their hard work, they believe in their own ability and understand that math has purpose in their future. It gives students the tools they need to thrive anytime and anywhere.  

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Screens students to establish proper math placement
  • Assists with the identification process for students who need additional math literacy instruction
  • Provides individual and small group instruction for identified students (response to intervention)
  • Participates in student intervention team meetings
  • Assists with the administration of district and state testing programs
  • Confers with the Principal and Assistant Principals about the needs of the math instructional program.
  • Acts as a resource to regular classroom teachers in the areas of  best practices.
  • Assists in the selection of the district textbooks
  • Assists with the integration of other content areas into the math program
  • Participates in the district curriculum development process
  • Supports teachers in the implementation of standards
  • Assists with the development of mathematics instructional programs
  • Facilities professional learning opportunities as directed by the Principal
  • Participates in professional learning workshops and conferences
  • Assists with the collection of data for RTI and the analysis of data for school improvement
  • Completes reports and paperwork as required 
  • Collaborates with the Title I instructional staff within the school
  • Assists with the parent involvement program for the Title I program
  • Collaborates with other specialists and lead teachers 
  • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as directed by the Principal

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred
  • At least five years of successful classroom experience at the elementary level
  • Outstanding leadership and teamwork skills
  • Expertise in the area of best practices for mathematics and literacy
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
