Job description

Description
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP), is seeking a licensed behavioral analyst with extensive experience in classroom, practicum, and community partnership training to serve as faculty with a professional appointment at the Assistant or Associate level. The successful faculty member will provide graduate-level teaching and practicum supervision of behavioral analysis students throughout the University of Rochester and the surrounding community.
This position will have substantial teaching responsibilities, including at least four graduate-level courses in the Applied Behavior Analysis program in the Warner School of Education. The position also includes evaluation and placement of student practicum, advising for all ABA programs, and student support for continuing education, professional, certification, and licensing activities.
This is a joint appointment with a primary appointment in DBP (0.20 FTE) and a secondary one in the Warner School of Education (0.80 FTE). The role includes, but is not limited to:
Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to community partners, including but not limited to professional development on developmental disabilities and related disorders, co-occurring disorders; professional development on evidence-based practices for developmental disabilities and associated disorders, including co-occurring disorders; parent education and training supporting their understanding of disability, evidence-based integration, collaboration, and advocacy.
Administrative: Administrative responsibilities include, identifying and establishing community partnerships meeting the state and accreditation requirements for clinical training in applied behavior analysis; Providing ongoing support to community behavior analysts actively supervising students in the Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Warner School of Education and Human Development, facilitate community supervisor compensation with the Warner School of Education and Human Development Finance department, maintain all professional and student documentation of clinical training, maintain communication and support to the Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Warner School of Education and Human Development alumni
Advising: Evaluate student experiences, competencies, and interests for appropriate practicum placement, serve as the secondary advisor for all Programs in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and support student exploration for post-master experiences, including continuing graduate education and professional opportunities.
Research: Collaboratively initiate, develop, and maintain an Applied Behavior Analysis research group at the Warner School of Education & Human Development while maximizing collaboration opportunities with the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics.
Instruction: Teach the equivalent of four three-credit graduate courses annually (80%). Courses include, but are not limited to:
• Professional & Ethical Conduct for Behavior Analysts (Fall)
• Performance Management & Staff Training in Education & Human Services (Summer)
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (Spring)
• Practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis (Fall, Spring, Summer)
• Guest lectureship
Qualifications
The minimum requirements include a master's degree in behavioral analysis, board certification in behavioral analysis, and license in behavior analysis in New York State. Qualified applicants are expected to have extensive (minimum 5 years) teaching at the graduate level and experience with student practicum placement, supervision, and evaluation. Applicants must have or be eligible for a New York State medical license and pass pre-employment drug testing.

Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
