Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Do you enjoy working in a service-oriented industry? If so, this opportunity may be the right fit for you!

Modivcare is looking for an experienced MDM Architect to join our team. As an MDM Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the enterprise data foundation that powers healthcare operations, analytics, AI-driven decision-making, and digital transformation. You will lead the design and implementation of modern Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities that establish trusted, governed, and high-quality data across our Member, Provider, Facility, and other enterprise domains. Your work will directly improve the accuracy of critical business processes, enhance experiences for members and providers, accelerate innovation, and enable strategic growth across the organization.

We're looking for a collaborative technology talent who enjoys solving complex enterprise data challenges, influencing enterprise architecture, and building scalable solutions that create lasting business value. The ideal candidate is passionate about modern data platforms, embraces continuous learning, and is excited to help shape the future of healthcare by delivering trusted, high-quality data that powers better decisions, stronger operational outcomes, and improved member experiences.

This is an opportunity to build enterprise-scale data products that become foundational assets for operational systems, advanced analytics, regulatory reporting, and emerging AI initiatives. Working closely with business and technology leaders, you will establish scalable architecture, modern engineering practices, and enterprise governance standards that transform data into a strategic business asset while supporting Modivcare's mission of delivering better care through better data.

This role...

Master Data Management & Solution Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, including canonical data models, entity relationships, hierarchies, reference data, and enterprise data standards.

  • Establish trusted Golden Records through identity resolution, survivorship rules, and deterministic and probabilistic matching techniques.

  • Configure, implement, and optimize enterprise MDM platforms such as Ataccama ONE, Reltio, or similar technologies.

  • Define and maintain canonical data models and governance standards that improve consistency across enterprise applications.

  • Ensure master data is accurate, governed, reusable, and available across Member, Provider, Facility, and other enterprise domains.

  • Design scalable architecture that supports operational excellence, enterprise growth, advanced analytics, and AI initiatives.

Data Integration & APIs

  • Design and develop secure, scalable APIs and enterprise data services that expose mastered data to operational systems, analytics platforms, and downstream applications.

  • Build integration solutions supporting real-time, near real-time, and batch data exchange.

  • Develop scalable integration patterns that enable enterprise-wide consumption of trusted master data.

  • Ensure secure, governed access to enterprise master data across cloud and hybrid environments.

Data Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines using AWS Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Amazon S3, Athena, and Step Functions.

  • Develop scalable transformation logic using SQL and dbt.

  • Leverage dbt capabilities including data testing, schema validation, referential integrity, documentation, lineage tracking, exposures, metric definitions, and environment-based deployment controls.

  • Support CI/CD deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi.

  • Implement enterprise best practices for testing, documentation, deployment, observability, and governance.

  • Optimize SQL, data processing, and query performance across large-scale healthcare datasets.

  • Build modern data platforms that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and enterprise reporting while improving operational efficiency.

Data Quality & Stewardship

  • Collaborate with Data Governance teams to implement enterprise metadata management, stewardship, lineage, and governance processes.

  • Define, measure, and monitor master data quality metrics, governance KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, PII, privacy, security, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Promote enterprise adoption of governed and standardized master data practices.

  • Champion governance processes that enable innovation while protecting critical enterprise information assets.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

We are interested in speaking with individuals with the following...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, enterprise data management, or related disciplines.

  • Four (4) plus years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.

  • Experience implementing enterprise MDM platforms such as Ataccama ONE, Reltio, or similar solutions.

  • Experience designing scalable cloud-based data platforms and enterprise integration solutions.

  • Experience developing enterprise APIs and modern data service layers.

  • Experience with AWS data services including Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, and AWS Step Functions.

  • Hands-on experience with dbt, including transformation development, testing, documentation, lineage, governance, and deployment practices.

  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi.

  • Advanced SQL expertise and strong data modeling skills, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), canonical data models, and analytical data design.

  • Experience implementing automated data quality, observability, monitoring, and remediation frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise Master Data Management principles including Golden Record management, identity resolution, survivorship rules, reference data management, and enterprise data governance.

  • Experience with enterprise data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview) for metadata management, business glossary, data lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows supporting Master Data Management (MDM).

  • Experience working with healthcare data domains including Member, Provider, Facility, Claims, or Care Management data preferred.

  • Experience working in regulated healthcare environments with HIPAA, PHI, and PII compliance requirements.

  • Experience collaborating with distributed and offshore engineering teams.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex enterprise data challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
