Business Development Intern - Ticket Sales
Reports to: Vice President, Sales
Hillsboro Hops Professional Baseball
Hillsboro, OR
The Hillsboro Hops are looking for energetic, motivated, and outgoing individuals to join our team as Business Development Interns focused on outbound ticket sales. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the most important foundations of the sports industry - ticket sales - while helping create unforgettable experiences for fans in our brand-new ballpark.
This role is designed for individuals who want to break into professional sports, develop confidence in sales and communication, and learn how strong relationships drive revenue and fan engagement.
No prior sales experience is required - just a fearless attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to pick up the phone.

Responsibilities
  • Make outbound sales calls to prospective fans, groups, and businesses
  • Generate ticket sales revenue through proactive outreach
  • Assist with group outings, hospitality sales, and fan engagement opportunities
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers
  • Maintain accurate records of calls and customer interactions
  • Help support game day sales initiatives and fan experiences
  • Learn and communicate all aspects of the Hops ticket products and ballpark experience
  • Work collaboratively with the ticket sales and front office staff to achieve department goals

Compensation/Schedule
  • $17/hour; approximately 30 hours a week, Mon-Fri with occasional weekend events as needed.
  • Internship will begin ASAP and conclude by the end of the Hops season in mid-September.
