Position Overview

Our Client is seeking a Project Manager I to join the Orlando Service Center. This position is responsible for managing customer-facing projects through planning, engineering, procurement, commissioning, validation, and contract closeout activities.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation through completion and contract closeout.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities and execute mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Field Service teams.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure action items are completed.
  • Communicate project status, health, and progress to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Support project recovery plans when required.
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and systems of record.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and export control requirements.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of project management experience managing complex projects.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • PMP Certification preferred but not required.

Team Environment

You will join a highly collaborative Project Management team consisting of approximately 10 team members, including an intern. The team works closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Support groups to deliver successful project outcomes while providing opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and career advancement.
