Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage chemical supply inventory processes, including ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and replenishing chemicals.
  • Track inventory to ensure chemicals are up to date and non-expired
  • Coordinate movement and delivery of chemical samples within the R&D facility
  • Maintain accurate documentation for incoming/outgoing shipments and logistics records.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and NJDEP regulations, including chemical labeling, SDS usage, storage, and hazardous waste handling.
  • Support waste stream processes including segregation, storage, testing, and disposal.
  • Perform routine lab housekeeping and daily/periodic safety inspections
  • Conduct quarterly audits of chemical storage areas, including:
    • Removal of expired or unused chemicals
    • Cleaning and organizing chemical cabinets
    • Maintaining good laboratory practices
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to understand project-specific chemical needs and lead times
  • Monitor chemical usage trends and support inventory planning
  • Assist with equipment facilitation and de-facilitation, including basic maintenance support
  • Support facilities and engineering projects as needed
  • Participate in Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team activities, including spill response and incident support
  • Maintain documentation of inspections and safety-related activities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EPA, OSHA, and NJDEP regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste handling and RCRA regulations
  • Experience in semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, or R&D lab environments
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with basic tools and equipment maintenance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Laboratory operations or chemical handling
    • Inventory or stockroom management
    • Equipment maintenance or technical support
  • Working knowledge of:
    • SDS documentation and chemical hazard handling
    • Laboratory safety practices and procedures

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in related field
Base Pay Range: $22.02 - $37.46 Per Hour
