The Data Management Specialist helps set up, maintain, and coordinate important business data across company systems. This includes product, store, pricing, production, and merchandising information. This role works closely with Forecasting, Account Management, Product, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure information is complete, current, and aligned with business needs. The position requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, effective prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Process and manage data entry requests from Forecasting, Account Management, Product, Finance, and related teams.
  • Support internal and external setup of product offerings, production items, merchandising displays, stores, and related business data.
  • Ensure item, product, store, pricing, and setup information is accurate, complete, and updated in company systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product arrivals, production timelines, shipping needs, and business commitments.
  • Communicate timely updates to stakeholders, helping ensure alignment and preventing surprises.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and system updates with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with Finance to obtain appropriate approvals for external pricing and related setup requirements.
  • Lead or participate in special projects, including workflow changes, software implementation support, process documentation, and training.
  • Understand business terminology, data relationships, and how information flows across departments.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent coursework, internship, administrative, data entry, customer service, or business support experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to enter, review, and maintain information accurately.
  • Comfortable learning new systems, tools, processes, and business terminology.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage tasks, follow instructions, ask questions, and meet deadlines with guidance and support.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work with different teams across the business.
  • Interest in data, operations, product setup, retail distribution, consumer products, or related business processes is a plus.
