Position: Logistics Intern
Location: U.S. Remote
Job Type: Paid Internship
Duration: 6 Months (25 hours per week; flexible schedule, Monday-Friday during daytime business hours)
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics & Trade Compliance Intern to support our transportation, supply chain, and international trade activities. Working directly with the Director of Logistics, you'll gain hands-on experience with domestic and international shipping, freight management, customs documentation, and process improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in building a career in logistics or global supply chain.
Responsibilities:
Logistics
• Assist with tracking domestic and international shipments.
• Help coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy.
• Update shipment information and maintain logistics records.
• Assist with freight reporting and transportation metrics using Excel.
• Support freight invoice review and issue resolution.
Trade Compliance
• Assist with import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Help maintain customs and shipping records.
• Learn basic HTS classifications, Country of Origin, and trade compliance requirements.
• Support customs brokers and internal teams with documentation requests.
• Assist with trade compliance projects and audits.
General Support
• Help update logistics procedures and work instructions.
• Organize files and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
