About the Role
We are seeking contract professionals to support live broadcast and media operations across both cloud-based and on-premise environments. This role will be based in the Stamford, CT office and work alongside engineering and operations teams to support real-time broadcast workflows, monitor system health, and assist in troubleshooting and system setup. Structured training will be provided, but this role requires initiative and the ability to quickly build confidence in fast-paced, live environments. The ideal candidate brings a base of broadcast knowledge, fluency in cloud workflows, and the ability to learn and adapt as our platforms Evolve.
The ideal candidate for this role appreciates the discipline and precision of traditional broadcast, while embracing the agility and innovation of modern streaming; someone who sees both worlds not as separate, but as converging.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support live broadcast operations across control rooms, cloud systems, and distribution platforms
  • Monitor signal flow, stream health, and system performance during live events
  • Assist with setup, configuration, testing, and validation of broadcast and media systems
  • Troubleshoot issues in real time and escalate clearly and efficiently
  • Follow established operational procedures while adapting to new tools and workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to support live event execution
  • Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing
  • Perform system updates, maintenance, and testing to ensure platform stability and readiness

Qualifications (Must-Have)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in broadcast, media operations, or live streaming environments, with a genuine passion for the space
  • Familiarity with signal flow concepts (video, audio, or IP-based workflows)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical processes
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Comfortable working in time-sensitive, live-event environments
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Live Linear Playout System (AMPP, Amagi, Imagine...etc.)
  • Experience with SRT-based signal routing and distribution platforms (Netinsight, Techex, Haivision Gateway or similar)
  • Familiarity with closed captioning workflows in broadcast environments, including CEA-608/708 standards and AI-driven captioning services (EEG, AWS Transcribe, Verbit, or similar)
  • Basic experience with Linux or command-line tools
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, networking basics); familiarity with AWS Media Services a strong plus
  • Experience with OTT/streaming quality monitoring platforms (TagVS, Conviva, NPAW, or similar)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $55.0 - 65.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
