Job Summary/Basic Function
The Sycamore Video Production Manager is responsible for all video productions and works directly with the Sycamore Video General Manager and Sycamore Video Executive Producer. They are responsible for helping to supervise and train other Producers, On-Air Talent, Videographers, Photographers, Production Assistants, etc. They are responsible for status updates on Sycamore Video equipment and advise the Facility Advisor, Sycamore Video General Manager, and Sycamore Video Executive Producer if repairs or replacements are needed.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce programming and video production for Sycamore Video (Content for, but not limited to, This Week at ISU, Last WeekEND at ISU, and Sycamore Video News Update (Social Media show)
  • Attend all meetings, studio productions, and events
  • Develop, organize, and facilitate training programs and sessions so ALL members of Sycamore Video are ensured a basic understanding of studio equipment, field equipment, editing, among other things
  • Along with the Sycamore Video Executive Producer, ensure ALL content is completed and posted in a timely manner. This is including, but not limited to: Posts on Sycamore Video Website (isustudentmedia.com/sycamorevideo), social media (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, among other platforms
  • Serve as On-Air Talent (Anchor, Host, Reporter, etc.) when needed
  • Create
  • Produce AT LEAST one piece of content (news story, feature piece, social media post, etc.) for Sycamore Video weekly
  • Be willing to learn
  • Represent Sycamore Video in a positive manner
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as the specified position evolves
