• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for clients based on their unique mental health needs.
• Provide ongoing consultation in crafting pre-crisis and crisis management strategies, ensuring that each client has a well-structured behavioral guideline in place.
• Document all interactions and treatment plans according to regulatory standards, completing necessary paperwork within deadlines.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to accurately assess client needs, collaborating closely with the clinical team to optimize care.
• Engage in the development and implementation of positive behavior support plans, working alongside various programs within the clinic.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, contributing to the organization's continuous quality improvement efforts.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including adolescents and adults seeking assistance for various mental health conditions, substance use issues, and developmental challenges. Your role is vital in providing support through person-centered approaches that not only address immediate concerns but also promote long-term wellness and recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is essential.
• Licensure eligibility by the state of Florida is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients effectively.
• A strong listener with the capacity to empathize while providing direction and support.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail are necessary for managing client cases and documentation efficiently.

• Experience working in a community health setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical documentation tools.
• Knowledge and experience in applying a range of therapeutic modalities, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
