An Internship Life Insurance Agent is typically a student or recent graduate who is learning the basics of selling life insurance policies under the supervision of experienced agents. Their responsibilities include prospecting for new clients, learning about different types of life insurance products, assisting with policy applications, and developing sales skills. Interns may also participate in training sessions and shadow experienced agents to gain real-world experience. Most agencies pair interns with experienced agents who provide mentorship, coaching, and feedback on sales techniques, client interactions, and regulatory requirements. You'll also participate in role-playing scenarios and shadowing opportunities to build confidence.
