Job description

Medical Billing & AR Specialist — Overland Park, KS
$23–$26/hr • Full-time, Mon–Fri (no nights or weekends) • Full benefits + 401(k)

Healthcare Revenue Group (HRG) has run medical billing and revenue cycle management for healthcare providers since 1999. We're a small, experienced team in Overland Park looking for someone who wants ownership of their accounts — not a seat in a call center. This is an on-site role, with a flexible remote-Friday option after 90 days.

What you'll earn
$23–$26/hr, plus:

  • Full medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • 3 weeks paid time off
  • Your choice of schedule: five 8-hour days Mon–Fri on-site, or four 9-hour days Mon–Thu on-site with a 4-hour remote Friday (flex Friday available after 90 days)
  • Casual dress code
  • Ongoing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) training in a supportive team

What you'll do
You'll own a set of accounts end to end — managing accounts receivable, submitting and following up on insurance claims and denials, and resolving billing issues so financial operations keep running smoothly. Day to day, you'll post payments, handle charge entry, and provide direct client support. You'll also prepare monthly reports that help the team make informed decisions, and pitch in on general office tasks as the work calls for it.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of medical billing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Willingness to learn new practice management and billing software

You're dependable, self-motivated, organized under pressure, and you take ownership of your work without needing to be managed every step.

Why our team stays
HRG knows what it's doing — and takes care of the people who make it happen. You won't be just another biller in a call center; you'll be part of a small, experienced team where your work has direct impact and you manage your accounts your way, backed by colleagues who jump in when you need them. We invest in our people through real RCM training, real time off, and a schedule built around your life — not the other way around.

Healthcare Revenue Group is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.

Apply now — we'd love to hear from you.
