Job description

Job Summary

Life Cycle Analyst at Caterpillar, Inc. Full‑time, on‑site position in Tucson, AZ or South Milwaukee, WI.

Role Overview

As a Life Cycle Analyst, you will analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and support dealer requests to optimize lifecycle performance and shape aftermarket services for mining equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying, defining, and implementing integrated lifecycle solutions and performance improvements.
  • Developing and analyzing data and information to prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Establishing linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
  • Investigating industry benchmarks, metrics, and best practices to develop optimal supply chains.
Education Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience desired.

Qualifications
  • Customer Service: Deliver prompt, high‑quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Maintain and improve SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Apply structured approaches to resolve operational challenges.
  • Inventory Management: Understand basic inventory principles and reporting.
  • Business Performance Management: Use BI tools to monitor and report on performance metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement more efficient workflows.
  • Application Systems: Support and enhance core systems used in supply chain operations.
  • Effectiveness Measurement: Track and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of bill of materials (BOM) structure and maintenance.
  • Strong customer focus and responsiveness to internal and external inquiries.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet service‑level KPIs (under 20 open tickets/day, 85% resolved within 10 days).
  • Problem‑solving mindset with willingness to engage across teams.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with mining equipment or dealer support environments.

  • Location: Tucson, AZ or South Milwaukee, WI.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.

  • Minimal travel, expected to be less than 10%.
Compensation

Summary pay range: $87,480.00 – $131,280.00 (salary varies by market location, job level, performance, and experience).
