## Nocturnist | Hastings, NESouth-Central Nebraska — Independent Not-for-Profit Community Hospital## Position Details* Full-time, permanent hospital-employed position* Setting: Inpatient — adult medicine nocturnist* Schedule: 12 shifts per month* Telemedicine: No* H-1B visa candidates accepted* Loan assistance available## Practice OverviewSeeking a BC/BE Nocturnist to complement an existing hospitalist team at an independent, not-for-profit 161-bed acute care facility serving south-central Nebraska:* Provide general medical care and management for hospitalized adult patients* Responsibilities include admission, care management, and discharge of patients on behalf of primary care staff, outside physicians without admitting privileges, specialty physicians referring patients, and unassigned ED patients* Serve as care team leader for all patients on the hospitalist service* Coordinate specialist consults, provide consultation services, and manage timely patient transfers and discharges* Collaborate with case management, social services, and utilization management staff* Complete admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries via EMR* Communicate effectively with referring physicians, primary care providers, and outside practitioners* Mentor students, interns, and residents as needed* Participate in medical staff administrative meetings and activities* Medical staff of 100+ physicians across nephrology, pulmonology/critical care, cardiology, infectious disease, general surgery, neurology, psychiatry, orthopedics, oncology, urology, and more## Compensation & Benefits* Highly competitive compensation package* Exceptional benefits package* Loan assistance available* H-1B visa candidates accepted* Details provided upon inquiry## Required Qualifications* MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine* Three-year Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency training — required* Active Nebraska medical license — required* Active membership in the Medical Staff of the hospital expected* H-1B visa candidates accepted## About the Organization* 161-bed independent, not-for-profit acute care facility* Primary market of Adams and surrounding counties — aggregate population of approximately 125,000* Facilities include a 20-bed Behavioral Services Unit, 10-bed medical ICU, inpatient rehabilitation, medical/surgical unit, progressive care/telemetry unit, inpatient pediatric unit, obstetrical services with 8-bed NICU, Level III trauma in an 8-bed Emergency Department, surgical facilities, cath lab, certified Primary Stroke Center, and complete diagnostic services## About the Community – Hastings, Nebraska* Welcoming south-central Nebraska community of approximately 25,000* Affordable cost of living with excellent schools and family-friendly neighborhoods* Home to Hastings College — a vibrant academic presence* Rich local history and strong sense of community pride* Outdoor recreation including fishing, hunting, and exploring the Nebraska countryside* Birthplace of Kool-Aid — home to the annual Kool-Aid Days festival* Convenient access to Lincoln and Grand Island
