Job description

Join a dynamic specialty pharmacy team as an IV/Infusion Pharmacist to support critical patient care and medication management. This contract role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in specialty therapies within a fast-paced environment with a quick start and overtime availability.
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with weekend on-call rotation
Duration: 8-10 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC
  • Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapy for specialty disease states
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, fostering a collaborative and efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to facilitate onboarding and prescription fulfillment
  • Support documentation, quality assurance, and incident resolution efforts
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and operational workflows
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation as required
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Active Nevada Pharmacist License (required)
  • BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Specialty, Infusion, or Compounding pharmacy background (retail-only experience not accepted)
  • Strong understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification processes
  • Experience supervising or working closely with pharmacy technicians
  • Preferably 1-2 years in Specialty, Infusion, Hospital, or similar pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, clinical coordination, and CareTend software (preferred)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent clinical judgment with deep knowledge of specialty medications
  • Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software
  • Ability to work onsite and manage multiple operational priorities effectively
