Full-Time | Sumter Health & Rehabilitation | York, AL

Base Pay: $33.25-$43.65 per hour (based on experience)

Join Our Nursing Team

Sumter Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for 12-hour night shifts.

If you're an RN who prefers longer shifts and a schedule with fewer workdays each week, this opportunity may be a great fit. You'll provide skilled nursing care, monitor resident conditions, lead and support the nursing team, and help ensure our residents receive exceptional care throughout the night.

Experienced nurses and new graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care setting.
  • Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions and changes in health status.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in resident condition.
  • Communicate clinical concerns to physicians and nursing leadership as appropriate.
  • Implement and follow individualized resident care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic nursing documentation.
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Provide clinical leadership throughout the night shift.
  • Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Follow infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing experience preferred but not required.
