Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Junior Software Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Jersey City, NJ.
Tools Engineering & Automation (TEA) is a development team that implements automated systems for IT Production (ITP). The systems we implement range from fully automated processes to user facing applications (web and desktop) and we handle all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, development, and automation of ITP tools (full development lifecycle).
  • Support and improvements of our existing applications.
  • Propose technical solutions to new initiatives and problems.
  • Documentation of systems and processes.
  • Management of the progress and delivery of tasks and projects.
  • Software development in a variety of languages and technologies.
Required Skills :
  • Any experience in application development.
  • Knowledge of one or more development languages.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of design patterns and application architecture.
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as independently when the situation dictates.
  • Must be autonomous, organized, self-motivated and responsible individual.
  • Ability to interface with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be fluent in English, conversational and technical.
Preferred Skills :
  • Development skills in Java or C# is a plus.
  • SQL skills in a major RDBMS.
  • Experience in modern web development, ideally Angular.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
