Position Overview

The Ultimate Mental and Behavioral Healthcare Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position provides the flexibility of remote work while enabling counselors to make a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of our clients in Tucson, Arizona and beyond. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality counseling services and improving mental health outcomes for various populations.

About the Organization

At the Ultimate Mental and Behavioral Healthcare Center, our mission is unwavering: we aim to foster a healthier society by bridging the gap between mental and physical healthcare. We are dedicated to enhancing access to trusted, affordable, and personalized mental health services. Our team comprises some of the most talented professionals in the behavioral health sector, all driven by a passion for making tangible, positive changes in the lives of our clients. We provide a nurturing environment for both our employees and clients, promoting a culture of support, collaboration, and innovation.

Work Environment

This role is primarily conducted in a remote setting, allowing for a flexible work schedule that can accommodate your personal and professional needs. While case management and counseling will be performed online, you will also have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues through virtual meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary team discussions. Our outpatient office setting ensures that you will interact closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, allowing for a collaborative approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand and address the unique needs of each patient, implementing tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitate clear communication among supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and other stakeholders to track patient progress effectively.
  • Establish and maintain a tentative schedule for client appointments, home visits, and essential evaluations, balancing caseload effectively.
  • Conduct home visits when necessary for in-home observations, patient assessment, and data collection.
  • Ensure that the treatment plan is executed effectively, adjusting as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
  • Regularly participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other relevant discussions to review patient care and program effectiveness.
  • Document and submit monthly and quarterly progress notes to maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Plan and organize training sessions for staff to enhance understanding and implementation of program protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Provide continued support to patients through follow-up interviews and observations, ensuring their evolving needs are met.
  • Act as a liaison with the public and the mental health community to promote services, goals, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of training materials to improve program quality and documentation processes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including both adults and youth. The patients you serve may experience a wide range of mental health challenges requiring individualized treatment approaches, including family therapy, trauma recovery, and counseling for substance misuse. Your expertise in these areas will be essential to driving positive patient outcomes and fostering resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Arizona is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling, preferably within a clinical mental health setting, is required.
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, or experience with trauma and substance use disorders is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legal and ethical standards concerning mental health practice is necessary.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling rapport-building with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technology is expected.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including cultural competence in addressing varied backgrounds.
  • Proven track record of successful client outcomes and satisfaction in mental health counseling.
  • Previous leadership or training experience with junior staff or interns is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive yearly salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • Flexible work schedule to promote work-life balance and accommodate personal commitments.
  • Generous sign-on bonus available to qualified candidates.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Malpractice insurance and life insurance coverage are provided.
Career Growth Opportunities

Joining our team not only allows you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients but also offers numerous avenues for professional development. We prioritize internal advancement and provide ongoing training opportunities to help you expand your skillset and advance your career. The organization actively supports you in pursuing certifications and specialized training to further your expertise in counseling.
