Job description

Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Heart Institute is looking for an imaging specialist in pediatric cardiology to join its multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in imaging, with a focus in fetal imaging. Preference will be given to those who have had a couple years' experience in imaging out of fellowship with the possibility of applying for the Medical Directorship position pending experience.

The current faculty includes: seventeen general cardiologists, three surgeons, five interventional cardiologists, three heart failure/transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, one electrophysiologist, two adult congenital cardiologists, and eight CV-ICU cardiologists, making this the largest Pediatric Cardiovascular program in Florida and second largest in the Southeast. Joe DiMaggio offers the only accredited Adult Congenital Heart Program in Southern Florida. Current volumes include over 3500 fetal exams, over 350 Cardiac MRI exams, 30,000 outpatient echocardiograms, and 200 TEE's annually. Joe DiMaggio also has a robust 3D imaging program including fetal MRI. The work load is anticipated to increase in the next few years with planned expansion of the general outreach clinics and the adult congenital heart program.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
