Your impact:
  • Lead software and product testing initiatives for the Corporate Systems team with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine and establish quality assurance processes and testing strategies for designated products.
  • Guide other Quality Assurance Engineers in implementing and executing testing best practices and mentor them in developing automated test scripts.
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance and testing activities are performed throughout the project lifecycle and verify the results of these activities.
  • Engage in requirements and design meetings to estimate testing efforts and formulate test plans.
  • Develop detailed test plans by collaborating with project team members, including product owners, analysts, and the development team.
  • Analyze and translate project documentation, release notes, and other documentation into comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Develop test cases, test sets, and test scripts to validate business functionalities effectively.
  • Manage test cases and procedures using Azure DevOps and other relevant tools.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests utilizing various test automation frameworks.
  • Create test data as needed to prepare for manual testing.
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts and validate results for project accuracy.
  • Facilitate defect tracking, problem identification, and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Present testing results for review to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Operate in an agile environment with frequent and rapid code releases to production.

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance in a Windows environment.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for managing tasks and defects.
  • 4+ years creating automation test strategies and general experience writing automation scripts using industry standard programming languages.
  • 4+ years of experience developing testing software frameworks and developing test scripts using industry standard programming languages like Java, C#, Python.
  • 4+ years of experience writing and executing manual and automated test cases for feature sets on various applications, including websites, using ALM, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.
  • QA experience with strong hands-on use of GitHub (or similar Git-based platforms) for version control, pull requests, and CI/CD-integrated test automation.
  • 2+ years of experience performing as a "gate keeper" by providing test result summaries and recommendations to the project team to pass or fail a test cycle/release.
  • Experience mentoring and leading Quality Assurance Engineers on QA best practices and developing automated test cases.
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries and performing database validations and manipulation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in applying Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • Skilled in automation testing using Selenium or Playwright for .NET.
  • Experienced with .NET test automation frameworks such as NUnit and xUnit.
  • Competent in both manual and automated testing of REST, SOAP, and JSON APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, and automation libraries such as Rest Assured and RestSharp.
  • Familiar with development tools like Visual Studio IDE, Eclipse, and IntelliJ.
  • Experienced in utilizing Microsoft Azure DevOps for Test Plans, Repos, and Pipelines, including the integration of test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Adept at conducting performance testing for APIs, backend systems, and user interfaces.
