Role Summary:

We are currently recruiting an intern analyst in the Credit Strategy Group, for a four-month internship starting internship from September to December 2026.

Accountabilities & Qualifications:

TheCredit Strategy Groupis part of the Credit Investments (CI) department atCPP Investments.CI manages$78billioninassets andis responsible forallCPP Investments,public and private credit investments globally. CI provides debt financing solutions across the entire credit structure, including term loans, high-yield bonds, mezzanine lending, structuredproductsand other solutions for borrowers in all sectors. The Credit Strategy group within CIseeksto enhance the risk-adjusted returns of the CI portfolio through portfolio construction techniques that enable the CI portfolio to deliver the total fund's desired credit exposure as well as maximize alpha generation across relative value factors such as sector, geography, rating,etc.

Accountabilities

  • Assistin the build-out of the portfolio strategy function of the recently created Credit Investments department atCPP Investments

  • Develop proprietary portfolio construction and monitoring tools to enhance management of the CI portfolio

  • Assistin the development of a relative value framework within CI to improve the effectiveness with which CI delivers a global portfolio

  • Analyzing specific investment opportunities as it relates to fit within the overall CI portfolio

  • Partner with other departments atCPP Investments(e.g. TotalFundManagement, Finance, Analytics and Risk and Capital Markets and Factor Investing) to advance initiatives such as enhanced integration of bottom-up and top-down decision making, improved reporting and incorporation of capital markets inputs into the evaluation of prospective investment opportunities

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be graduating from an undergraduate or graduate program inDecember 2026(or later) and is working towards a degree in math, engineering,businessor computer science.

  • Experience with programming languages (such asPython,C++/Java, R, VBA).

  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills and an interest in working in a dynamic collaborative environment.

  • Interest in finance/investment management.

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Excellent academic performance.

  • Knowledge in managing databases (such asMySQL, SQLServeror Oracle)would be a plus.
