Job Description:

The Portfolio Management Group is responsible for the oversight of Dimensional's investment offering and the implementation of Dimensional's investment philosophy. Portfolio Management interacts and collaborates closely with several departments across the firm with the goal of consistently managing with accuracy the quality and integrity of our investments on behalf of our clients.

Within Portfolio Management, the Investment Stewardship group implements proxy voting policies, engages with portfolio companies, researches governance issues and industry trends, and communicates Dimensional's approach to investment stewardship to internal and external audiences. The team works closely with a number of stakeholders to ensure best practices are maintained and our clients' objectives are met.

The Analyst, Investment Stewardship's, primary responsibility is to assist with the operational workflows involved in proxy voting, portfolio company engagement, and related reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute proxy voting tasks in line with established procedures to ensure votes are being cast in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Assist with preparation of responses to internal and external requests relating to investment stewardship policies and procedures, including RFPs, and questions from consultants and clients.

  • Prepare reports and materials for key internal stakeholders, such as the Investment Stewardship Committee.

  • Assist the team in screening, preparing, and tracking portfolio company engagements.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree & 1-2 years' work experience(relevant internships will be taken into account).

  • Strong writing and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality reports for internal and external distribution.

  • Demonstrated ability to compile, manage, and interpret data as well as perform in-depth research and analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information verbally.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience identifying and implementingprocess improvements to improve the efficiency and reliability of procedures and operations, including through automation and systemization.

  • Experience with SQL and strong Excel skills Relevant experience in investment stewardship, portfolio company analysis, and proxy voting mechanics.

  • Experience in mutual fund or investment management industry, preference for interest in Stewardship as demonstrated through coursework or internships.
