Minimum 2+ years recent Interventional Radiology RN experience required / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS, ACLS, and PALS Required / LICENSE – Active RN License Required / Schedule: Day Shift, 4x10s, 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week / Start Date: 07/06/2026 / Duration: 13 Weeks / Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Unit: Interventional Radiology (IR) / EMR: Cerner / Equipment: MRI Safe Pumps, EKG Monitors / Skills: Interventional Radiology Procedures, Moderate Sedation Monitoring, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Biopsies, Drainage Procedures, IV Starts, Pacemaker Support, Patient Assessment, Procedural Recovery, Coordination of Care, Imaging Procedure Support / Patient Population: Inpatient and Outpatient; Pediatric Patients Possible / Case Volume: Approximately 8–15 Cases Per Day / Job Duties: Assist Interventional Radiologists with Imaging-Guided Invasive Procedures, Coordinate IR Physician Schedules, Collaborate with Floor Nurses and Imaging Staff, Assist with Sedation Cases, Place Peripheral IVs, Monitor Patients Throughout Procedures and Recovery / Department Coverage: CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine Suites / Interventional Radiologist Coverage: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; On-Call Coverage After Hours / Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Rotation / Floating: First to Float / Call Requirement: Rotating Weeknight and Weekend Call Required / Leadership Support: Imaging Director and Manager Onsite During Weekdays; No Charge RN / Support Staff: Works Closely with IR Physicians, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Radiology Teams / Orientation: 12 Hours General Orientation Plus Department Orientation and 3–4 Unit-Specific Day Shifts / Scrubs: Navy Blue / Additional: Prior Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred; Candidates must be comfortable managing sedation patients and supporting a wide variety of radiology-guided procedures.
