Job description

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Software Engineer to support the development of next-generation AI-enabled solutions for mission-driven environments across the Department of Defense and other federal initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about software engineering, curious about Generative AI, and eager to help modernize how technology supports national security and operational effectiveness.

You do not need to be an AI expert to succeed in this role. We are looking for engineers with strong technical foundations, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and mission stakeholders to explore and implement Generative AI capabilities that improve automation, data analysis, decision support, and product innovation.

Salary: 85,000 - 155,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern software applications and AI-enabled tools
  • Assist with integrating Generative AI technologies into internal and customer-facing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to prototype emerging capabilities
  • Develop APIs, automation workflows, and scalable backend services
  • Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, standups, and code reviews

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or related technical field
  • Internship, academic project, research, or personal project experience in software development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to learn and adapt to emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Active US Security Clearance - TS
Desired Technical Exposure

Experience or familiarity with some of the following is preferred:
