Job description

Do you have professional delivery driver experience, a clean driving record & a great attitude? Cumberland International Trucks, Inc. is seeking a driven & personable Parts Delivery Driver to join our growing team in Nashville, TN to nurture our existing customers and assist Warehouse personnel. The Parts Delivery Driver is a vital part of the Parts Department, facilitating the timely & accurate delivery of parts to wholesale & retail customers. It may seem like we're picky, but that's because we place emphasis on hiring the right people. When we can hire within, we do; take it from our many leaders who have worked their way up! We house an impressive parts inventory- all makes and models of medium to heavy duty, class 7-8 parts to quickly and efficiently supply customers in surrounding areas.

*Customer service & driving experience required; warehouse/dealership experience desired.

Job Details:

  • Potential for overtime (time & 1/2 pay)
  • General daily hours 8AM- 5PM

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously, establishing and maintaining a rapport with customers.
  • Receive delivery orders throughout the day
  • Accurate and friendly delivery and pickup of parts in a timely manner, ensuring parts are properly and safely packed for transport
  • Accountability for the receipt of customer cores
  • Drive company delivery vehicle to transport parts to customers, including loading and unloading parts
  • Maintain delivery vehicle as per company policies, performing regular vehicle safety inspections
  • Development of new business and nurturing of current business
  • Obtain signature and maintain pick tickets for receipt of delivery
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle by maintaining routine maintenance and cleaning the interior of the vehicle
  • Assist in processing, packaging, and shipping orders correctly; assist in receiving, unloading, and placing incoming inventory items appropriately; assist in checking, verifying, and filling customer orders
  • Adhere to accident reporting procedures; advise the Stock Control Supervisor of any major repairs or concerns regarding the delivery vehicle
  • Warehouse duties as assigned by the Stock Control Supervisor and other tasks as required by Management- position reports to the Stock Control Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Professional driving experience is required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driving license and a clean driving record
  • Good listener, organized team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer
  • Self-motivated with excellent written/verbal communication skills, conducts oneself in a professional manner
  • Warehouse experience, such as pulling and stocking inventory, preferred
  • Understanding of and experience with Microsoft programs and applications desired
