Eaton's Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join our team of world-class customer service professionals. This position is based in the greater Reno, NV area.
This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. Company vehicle provided. Relocation assistance is available for candidates currently living outside of a 60-mile radius of Reno, NV.

As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. From mission-critical facilities to complex energy management challenges, we partner with customers as trusted advisors, delivering innovative solutions and technical expertise that safeguard operations and maximize uptime.
Anticipated salary: $69,000 - $101,000 a year. Overtime eligible.

Qualifications:
This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of Power Systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience.
  • This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton's Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver's license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.
  • Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings.
  • Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle.
  • Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.
  • Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:
  • Associate's degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor's degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience.
  • Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics.
  • Electrical Technology Certificate.
  • Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.
  • Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, taking direction from on-site leads.
