M&J is seeking a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) / Traffic Control Inspector to support Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) projects by inspecting and documenting work zone traffic control setups, verifying compliance with approved MOT plans and safety standards, and coordinating corrective actions with the contractor and Resident Engineer.


· Monitor contractor implementation of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and traffic control plans.

· Inspect temporary traffic control devices including signs, barriers, channelization devices, and pavement markings.

· Ensure traffic control operations comply with approved plans and safety standards.

· Monitor work zone safety conditions and coordinate corrective actions with the contractor.

· Document traffic control inspections and maintain inspection records.

· Coordinate with the Resident Engineer regarding traffic control issues.


Required

· Minimum 3–7 years of experience in transportation construction inspection.

· ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) or Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification.

Preferred

· NICET Level II or III certification.

· Experience inspecting major highway work zones and traffic staging operations.
