Quality Control Technician - Heavy Civil/Highway Construction
Trumbull-Brayman Joint Venture Montgomery Lock & Dam Project - Monaca, Pennsylvania
Trumbull Corporation is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, Pennsylvania, a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure project located on the Ohio River navigation system with an estimated 8-year duration.
This is a long-term, full-time position responsible for field testing and documentation for a variety of construction disciplines. This position offers stable, long-term employment on a high-profile federal infrastructure project supporting the U.S. inland waterway system.
Schedule & Compensation
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday - approximately 40 hours per week, with additional overtime available based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for with quality control field testing and documentation. This includes a variety of construction disciplines like concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic.
Responsibilities include:
  • Active involvement in project safety programs
  • Assists project QC staff and project supervision
  • Works toward obtaining testing certifications
  • Effectively communicates with the project owner(s)
  • Represent the company with the owner's inspectors
  • Travels to jobsites as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education:
  • Experience in the inspection and testing of various construction disciplines like concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic required
  • Experience in the construction industry with completion of at least one internship with a heavy civil, foundation, or steel erection contractor or equivalent work experience
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technicians - Grade I with 5 years of experience
  • ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Grade I with 5 years of experience
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certificate
  • ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges.
  • Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects.
  • Must be willing to work day or night shift pending on the project needs.

Work Environment
Work is performed on and around water within an active inland river navigation pool supporting heavy civil construction operations. Duties involve operating vessels and working aboard towboats, barges, and floating equipment in varying weather and river conditions.
