Job description

Aspirus, Inc. currently offers a Medical Assistant Student Internship Program. This paid program is designed for students currently enrolled in their 2nd semester of a Medical Assistant program. The program will run from 8/3/2026 to 10/10/2026. Application deadline is 7/13/2026
PROGRAM DETAILS:
This is a 10-week program, with flexible hours and up to 32 hours per week paid internship opportunity set to be completed during the final semester of a student's MA program. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world MA experience, participate in a variety of cares in a clinic setting, and secure a job all before graduation.
You will also have the opportunity to attend learning events during the program.
The Medical Assistant is an important part of the patient care team. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Administers and documents ordered medications and injections with final documentation by CMA, RN, or Physician.
• Reviews appointment schedules, maintains timely flow of patients, greets patients, and prepares them for their examination based on Physician request.
• Performs audiograms and visual testing.
• Communicates with patients via telephone calls, answering questions, advising patients with instructions from provider and documents all action taken in the patient medical record.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of first semester of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen
