We are currently accepting applications from undergraduate students for a paid internship for Summer/Fall 2026.
 

Under the auspices of the Board of Convention Affairs, the Meetings and Events team is responsible for the overall program of the APA Annual Convention and coordinating programs arranged by divisions of the APA, by boards and committees, and by affiliated and nonaffiliated organizations. The purposes of the APA Annual Convention are to:

  • Provide a forum for members to present their scientific and scholarly work.
  • Present a general program that will be informative and of interest to all APA
  • Facilitate the exchange of experience relating to the applications of psychology.
  • Provide a place where the business of the Association can be carried out efficiently.

Interns will be responsible for several tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Oversee Convention Email Box and Respond Timely
  • Handle Meeting Inquiry Phone Calls
  • Maintain accurate records in the database platform
  • Generate and distribute reports
  • Assist with communication with Division Program Chairs and presenters
  • Assist with registration set-up
  • Convention On Site
    • Assist at Registration Desk
    • Information Booth Monitor
    • Set up and Manage Ribbon Station
    • Shadow Director of Meetings & Events
    • Shadow Brand and Creative Team to Understand Behind the Scenes Main and Feature Stage Operations
  • Provide Great Customer Service Internally and Externally
  • Participate in Team meetings
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Job Location - Remote: APA internships may be considered for remote work eligibility as defined in APA’s Flexible Work Policy and are subject to approval.
