Job description


This internship position represents an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest information technology centers in the Wasatch front. This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

• NOTE: This is not a coding internship, but more of a general technology, support, and customer service introduction.
Responsibilities
About:
As a Technical Support Representative Intern, you'll play an important role in keeping business systems and technology running smoothly. Your day may include troubleshooting technical issues, responding to service requests, supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, and helping diagnose data and system connectivity problems. You'll work alongside experienced system engineers and business partners to test new features, improve processes, automate repetitive tasks, and support daily operations. You may also assist with configuring equipment, maintaining technology assets, documenting system updates, and providing excellent customer support. This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise systems, problem-solving, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a professional IT environment.
Benefits:
Full-time interns do have the option to enroll in a high-deductible medical plan.
Salary $24.00/hr
Work Schedule:
This is a 40-hour-per-week internship that is expected to last approximately 4 months. Normal office hours are between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Work location is downtown Salt Lake City at the Church Office Building.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• You should be currently enrolled or within one year of your graduation date from an accredited college or university.
• Internship is for current temple-worthy members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
• Technology background is desired
• Available to commute to and from the office
• This role is 100% in-office
• This role will last 1 year
Helpful Skills and Abilities:
• Technology background is desired
• Prefer applicants with technical certifications, such as A+, Network+, etc.
• Functional knowledge of supported hardware and software including Windows and Mac platforms.
• Disk wiping and disk imaging technology
• Basic asset management practices
• Network technologies pertaining to system connectivity and troubleshooting
• Effective interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Basic understanding of IT business functions
• Proactive, detail-oriented, dependable, and appropriately prioritize tasks
• Ability to comfortably lift 30 lbs. and reach across and work under desks
• This job operates in a professional office environment
• To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment
