Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is offering a Safety Internship in Construction. The selected intern will experience training from experienced Corporate Safety Management in fields such as Heavy Civil/Highway, Commercial Concrete, Bridge Construction, Concrete Paving, and Piling and Shoring. Our internships are with the goal to evaluate the candidates' potential as a possible future, full-time employee.

Internship Work Schedule:
Summer 2026 (May - August) Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm, plus overtime.
**Please note, schedule is subject to change and availability of intern. However, interns will most likely be expected to work Saturdays and long days / weeks (50-65 hours a week).
Position Description
Interns will be expected to assist in:
  • Maintaining divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate minimum requirements
  • Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate
  • Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program
  • Maintaining all administrative tasks related to project specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
  • Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
  • Enforce documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work

Position Requirements
  • Junior or Senior (highly preferred)
  • Minimum GPA 2.75
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
  • Past construction work experience is preferred but not required
