Physical Therapist – Inpatient Acute Care

Location: Rancho Mirage, California

Pay Rate: $2,200 To $2,400/Week

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day shift;  4 x 10-hour shifts

Experience: Inpatient Acute Physical Therapy experience preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Rancho Mirage, California. This role provides comprehensive inpatient acute care physical therapy services, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, rehabilitation, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical documentation while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on rehabilitative needs

• Deliver effective physical therapy treatments and monitor patient progress toward established goals

• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

• Educate patients, families, and student interns while supporting patient flow and departmental operations

Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapist License Required

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred

• American Heart Association BLS Certification Required

• Inpatient Acute Physical Therapy experience preferred

• Strong communication, documentation, time management, and patient care skills required
