THE ROLE

We're on the lookout for passionate students or recent graduates who want to dive into the exciting world of RV and campervan rentals and gain hands-on tourism experience at our San Francisco Depot.

As ourย Tourism & Operations Intern, you'll be the friendly face of our brand - welcoming guests, setting them up for road trips of a lifetime, and ensuring their journey ends just as wonderfully as it began. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Front-office activities:

  • Customer service and sales:ย Take care of check-ins and check-outs, register guests,ย process payments, explain campervan functionalities, terms and conditions, upsell road tripย extras.

Back-office activities:

  • Operations handling:ย Align the reservations with the available campervans, verify andย prepare campers and road trip extras and kits.
  • Quality control:ย Maintain the campervans in top condition, identify and act on possibleย maintenance or repair needs.
  • Support activities:ย Support the team in monitoring the existing stock, coordinating the fleetย of campervans, troubleshooting operational issues.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You are a student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Businessย Administration or a related field looking for an internship;
  • You are fluent in English, have a work permit (if applicable), and aย valid driver's licence (for both manual and automatic vehicles);
  • You like international environments and meeting new cultures;
  • You possess a natural talent for connecting with people and have a strong customer serviceย orientation;
  • You have a problem-solving mindset, thriving to create solutions and feeling comfortable with getting your hands dirty.


THE INDIE COMMITMENT

  • Base compensation of $17.87 for the internship length;
  • Online and on-the-job training to develop relevant skills for your growth: guest relations, customer service, problem-solving, communication, team spirit, organisation, time management, fleet coordination, supplies management and logistics;
  • Career opportunities and the possibility of integration in Indie Campers after the internship.
