We're looking for an organized, innovative, proactive intern to join the team behind BBYO International Convention (IC), one of the largest gatherings of Jewish teens in the world. You'll work alongside experienced event professionals, helping coordinate the logistics, systems, and operations that bring this global experience to life. The ideal candidate can work independently, is hardworking, and eager to learn. We will work with your college schedule!

What Is International Convention (IC)?
Every Presidents' Day weekend, BBYO brings together 3,500+ Jewish teen leaders, educators, professionals, and philanthropists. Delegates hear from inspiring speakers, develop leadership skills, serve the local community, celebrate Shabbat, attend exclusive music performances, and shape the Jewish future. Behind the scenes, IC requires months of planning, coordination, and operational excellence, and as an intern, you'll play a meaningful role in making it happen.
Who You Are:
You're a college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in event operations, logistics, and systems management. You enjoy creating structure, staying organized, and managing processes that keep teams running efficiently. You're detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects while collaborating with others. You don't mind spreadsheets, checklists, and details, in fact, you enjoy bringing order to complexity. You're excited by fast-paced environments and want to contribute to the success of a large-scale global event.
This is a paid internship compensated at $18.40 an hour, with 15-20 hours/week from September 2026 through March 2027
SHAPING THE FUTURE FOR TEENS AND YOURSELF
What You'll Do as Our Intern:
  • Support travel and registration operations by assisting with participant travel logistics, maintaining accurate records, and helping answer questions from attendees, families, and staff.
  • Coordinate program and event supplies by placing orders, tracking inventory, and working with vendors to ensure materials arrive on time and are event ready.
  • Maintain and organize event data by reviewing photos, collecting and reviewing waivers, updating Airtable records, and helping keep participants and program information accurate across multiple systems.
  • Process payments and financial records by supporting registration payment tracking, reconciliation, and other administrative finance tasks.
  • Partner across the IC team to tackle operational projects, solve logistical challenges, and provide hands-on support leading up to and during the event.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR MAKING A LASTING IMPACT
REQUIREMENTS
  • A responsible self-starter who is comfortable balancing independent work with team collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and eager to learn new systems (CVENT, Airtable).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and comfort working with data and administrative systems. Candidates may be asked to complete a brief skills exercise during the interview process.
  • Previous BBYO experience or similar youth/Jewish organization experience is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 15-20 hours/week September 2026 through March 2027 with preference given to those available to work in BBYO's DC office one day/week
  • Available to work in-person at International Convention from Tuesday, February 9 - Monday, February 15, 2027.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
