This full-time PTA position is primarily onsite at our hospital facility in Nutley, New Jersey, a community-focused organization that provides comprehensive rehabilitation services. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable schedule with no weekends required. You will work in a modern facility that includes treatment rooms, rehabilitation technology, and spaces designed for patient comfort. Your role will involve direct patient interaction and collaboration with various healthcare professionals, emphasizing a team-based approach to rehabilitation.

• Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by Physical Therapists, designed to help patients achieve their recovery objectives effectively.
• Assist patients during therapeutic exercises, handling manual therapy techniques, and guiding them through functional mobility training sessions.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy to enhance patient care outcomes and promote healing.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress, ensuring that any changes in condition are reported to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on best practices for injury prevention, including tailored home exercise programs for ongoing recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide well-rounded, coordinated patient care.

In your role as a PTA at PhysioSpace, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. You will have the opportunity to witness and contribute to the transformative process of patients regaining their independence and improving their physical function, directly impacting their quality of life.

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license issued by the state of New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• At least 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient orthopedic setting is required; new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong proficiency in therapeutic techniques, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Demonstrated capability in maintaining a patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is advantageous.

While 2 years of experience is required, a background in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred. Candidates who possess prior experience working as a PTA within a hospital or rehabilitation facility will be viewed favorably.
